The newest research on your morning coffee
We’re big fans of all types of coffee here. From cappuccinos to cafe au lairs to straight americanos, we drink them all. We’re also very proud of our newest kiosk concept, Caffè Cucina.
In the past few months, there has been an influx of reports on a groundbreaking study of the topic. According to the report (cited at The Telegraph, Gizmodo and many other publications), most people drink their coffee at the wrong time.
Apparently it’s best not to drink at 8-9 a.m., as that’s when you’re naturally alert. The best time to get that hit of caffeine is between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. This is just when your cortisol levels are waning after their high period (upon waking).
So if you can hold off on that hot (or cold) cup, you’d be better served through the day for it.
