How To Stay Productive At Work


What we eat throughout the day not only affects our health, it also affects our productivity. But sometimes it’s easier to grab a sausage McMuffin at the McDonald’s drive-thru on our way to work than to spend the whole 15 minutes cooking oatmeal and topping it with fresh fruit. Or some days we just feel like having a double-shot caramel iced coffee with a splash of skim milk and 2 Splenda. (FYI- the skim milk and Splenda don’t erase the fact that you’re drinking a drink that’s made primarily with sugary syrup). And that’s just breakfast. Lunch is a whole other story. And just because you’re eating salad doesn’t mean you can douse it in Ranch dressing. Is anyone catching on to the fact that we are gaining a disgusting amount of weight and can’t seem to keep our eyes open past 2 pm? According to Lisa De Fazio, a healthy lifestyle expert, “high-fat, high-sugar meals and snacks make us sleepy and have low energy.” Hmmmm… Maybe we should try eating these quick, easy and inexpensive snacks to sustain our energy and our bodies.
