Dartcor Volunteers at the Community Food Bank
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others?”
–Martin Luther King
On July 11th, the Dartcor team volunteered at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) in Hillside, NJ. The Food Bank, an active member of Feeding America, collects and distributes donated food items to shelters, soup kitchens, emergency food pantries, seniors feeding programs and after school programs to help hungry individuals all over New Jersey. CFBNJ develops feeding programs for people of all ages. Some, like the BackPack Program and Kids Café, help feed children who don’t have access to food; others, like Mobile Pantry, help feed pregnant women or geriatric patients of New Jersey hospitals. Other programs, like Kids Closet and Tools 4 Schools, provide families with clothing and necessary school supplies for their kids.

CFBNJ also provides education, training and volunteer opportunities to people (like you!) who want to get involved and make a difference within their own communities. The Dartcor team worked together with other volunteers to sort through and repack donated food items for distribution to more than 900,000 people throughout New Jersey! Dartcor donated 240 lbs of canned foods that will be distributed throughout CFBNJ’s feeding programs. The Community Food Bank encourages everyone to help in any way they can- whether it be donating food, money, clothing or your time.
